The LUMS Leader in Residence programme is a network of national and internationally renowned leaders, from public sector, private sector and third sector organisations who:

  • Inspire our students as they identify their career aspirations and offer them opportunities to pursue these through workplace visits, projects and internships
  • Contribute to programme design and review at undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Provide LUMS and the University with a network of influential connections who represent a breadth of experience and specialist knowledge
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our engagement with the local and regional communities
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues to deliver inspiring and innovative guest lectures
  • Support the School in its drive to enhance its relationship with industry
  • Act as consultants/advisers to individual schemes/programmes

  • Steve is responsible for developing solutions in the Education market for the Microsoft hardware products including all Surface devices.

  • Catherine Betley, Managing Director, Professional Help Limited

    Catherine has worked in business and across the voluntary and community sector at local, regional and national levels.

  • Susan Binnersley, Director - h2h Ltd

    Susan supports the development of major organisations to deliver strong business performance through their people and by creating confident, inspiring and engaging leaders.

  • Will Brooks, former President, ICAEW

    A LUMS alumnus, Will is a serial non-executive director and is a specialist in corporate finance, business strategy, governance and company direction.

  • William is a solicitor and a partner in the International Law Firm King & Spalding, where he heads the European Corporate Practice.

  • Peter set up his own advertising business specialising in consultancy, head hunting working with media owners, advertising agencies & clients.

  • Darren is an experienced leader with 20 years in INGOs and the private sector.

  • Julian Daly, Finance Director - OLIM Property

    Julian is Finance Director of OLIM Property Limited, an investment business managing over ?1bn of commercial property portfolios for pension funds, investment trusts and Oxford colleges.

  • Jackie began her NHS career as a nurse. Moved into management and was a Chief Executive Officer for over 20 years.

  • Minoti is a highly accomplished Entrepreneur, Public Speaker and Creative Practitioner with over 15 years of international experience.

  • Cath Purdy, Chief Executive - South Lakes Housing

    Cath joined South Lakes Housing, having previously been Chief Executive of Housing Hartlepool, Group Chief Executive of Vela Housing Group and Deputy Group Chief Executive of Thirteen Group.

  • Karl is a sustainable IT infrastructure expert and Founder of Wooden Data Center.

  • Martin, along with his brothers, Sam and Julian, owns Omni channel retailer, Lakeland, which specialises in creative kitchenware.

  • MyKindaFuture specialises in supporting under-represented talent, through the tech platform Connectr, get into work and then ‘get on’ when in work.

  • Kelsey is experienced in account management, partnerships, creator management and DEI programmes at Google and TikTok.

  • Simone Roche, Founder and CEO - Northern Power Women

    Founder of Northern Power Women, Northern Power Futures, the Power Platform and managing director at event?curation company Events 1st.

  • Paul leads the NatWest Treasury Advisory and Assurance team of approximately 19 colleagues and is certified in the UK under the FCA’s SM&CR rules.

  • Griselda is a multi-faceted entrepreneur, engineer and chartered accountant.

    Andy has worked across a range of economic development functions and locations within local government for over 20 years.

  • Barrie is a successful lifetime financial services entrepreneur who has gone onto create his own nationwide charity, The Barrie Wells Trust.

  • Keith is the Founder and CEO of Periphas. He has over 25 years in strategy, business development and sales.
