Our team of Senior Research Development Managers work at a strategic level to increase the University's research income and help to implement its research strategy.
The four Senior Research Development Managers (SRDMs) work with our research community across all aspects of research, ranging from providing bespoke advice on the processes of applying for external funding, to organising mock interviews, working directly on the development of a research application and also helping the University to maximise its engagement with external organisations at regional, national and international levels.
We work to support the University’s aim to increase market share of research and innovation income through a strategic package of tailored support for large-scale, strategic funding applications, bringing together staff across disciplines. We also have specific expertise in European and other international funding schemes.
Unlike colleagues in the Research Services Office, we are funder and discipline facing, rather than Faculty-facing.
If you have any questions about research development in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact us:
